Fashion in Las Vegas

What do you do when your flight home gets diverted to Las Vegas, due to fog? Why walk the strip at midnight, and view the fashion...

And, Happy Thanksgiving, Ballagio-style.

A few art shots

Here are a few shots.
This first is created with machine embroidery, by Carol Shinn.

And a close up

This piece, called Dam Crazy, (Dam =Denver Art Museum) is built as a quilt by Jane Mathews. The uniqueness of it, is that the material used is the museum Art Magazine publication.

And a couple of close-ups.

And just a few more shots..

Art in Denver

The Museum of Art in Denver, CO is one of my favorite museums. Yesterday, I saw a fantastic Van Gogh exhibit, called Becoming Van Gogh. This is a world exclusive exhibit, and it was amazing.

This exhibit took seven years to pull together, and once it ends on January 20, 2013, all the paintings will go back home to their respective owners and/or museums.

If you get the chance to pass through Denver, it is a must see. Book your tickets in advance.

I've been silent....and very busy. But now, hopefully things are calming down. I wanted to share some of the Convergence finished projects, from my workshop last summer.
